BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We want you to be able to book your holiday with confidence and have introduced special booking terms for the 2021/22 season. If you are unable to travel to Machrihanish due to Government COVID-19 restrictions nationwide, in your area or ours, we will do our best to assist you.

Please note that if you have to cancel your holiday for something non COVID-19 related, you will be fully liable for the total cost. We strongly recommend that you take out insurance to cover your holiday. See our Standard Policy for more details.

  • We will review each booking on an individual basis. 
  • We ask you not to book if the law prevents you visiting or staying with us, or if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us even if the law still allows you to. 
  • The Rights in this clause are additional to any other rights we may have in our standard policy.

Under the following circumstances, either of us has the right to cancel your holiday:

  • If our park has to close.
  • If Government restrictions change after you have booked and you are unable to come due to localised restrictions in your postcode (no non-essential travel). 
  • Government guidance changes after you book your holiday and you are considered ‘high risk’ and have to shield. (GP letter required)
  • You or a member of the booked party test positive for COVID-19 (proof required) less than 28 days before travel.

 

Under these circumstances, we will offer:

 

  1. Alternative dates (availability permitting) OR
  2. A credit note valid for 12 months OR
  3. A refund.

 

As a family-run business, we prefer that you re-schedule or postpone but will always allow you to cancel where the law gives you the right to do so.

 

 

 

 

STANDARD POLICY

TOURING CARAVAN / MOTORHOMES

We strongly recommend that you take out insurance to cover your holiday as once you have booked you are liable for the full cost if you have to cancel.

We review every booking on an individual basis.

  • We prefer that you re-arrange or postpone your booking.
  • We will offer a refund if you have to cancel your holiday up to 28 days before arrival. (Administration charge of £10)
  • We are happy to re-arrange any bookings up to 7 days before arrival if our availability allows or offer a credit for a future booking with no administration charge.
  • If you do not show up on your booked arrival date then we will cancel your booking and retain the balance as a cancellation charge.

 

HOLIDAY HOMES

We strongly recommend that you take out insurance to cover your holiday as once you have booked you are liable for the full cost if you have to cancel. 

  • We are happy to re-arrange bookings up to 28 days before arrival if our availability allows or offer a credit note(valid for 12 months) for a future booking with no administration charge.
  • If you cancel your booking up to 28 days before arrival you will lose your deposit. 
  • If you would like to re-arrange your booking once you have paid your final balance (final balance is due 28 days before arrival) we will try to re-let the accommodation. If we are able to do so, we will offer you a full credit of the amount you paid which can be used against a future holiday within the next 12 months.

 

Please speak to us as soon as you think you may have to cancel so we can work with you to get the best possible outcome.
